Level 1 vs. Level 2 EV Charging
A standard Level 1 charger generally uses a regular 120-volt household outlet. For drivers with short daily commutes and plenty of time between trips, that may be enough.
For many EV owners, however, Level 2 home charging is the more practical solution.
Level 2 charging uses a 240-volt electrical circuit and provides substantially faster charging than a standard household outlet. Your vehicle can recharge while it's already parked at home instead of requiring regular trips to a public charging station.
Actual charging speed depends on the vehicle, charger output and electrical setup.

Can Your Home Handle a Level 2 EV Charger?
This is one of the most important questions to answer before installation.
